A March Madness preview

College basketball season is coming to an end. Which means that March Madness approaches. This year should be very interesting. With all of the top 25 teams in the country, it is hard to tell how it is all going to play out.

Duke seems to be front-runner to win it all, but upsets could be possible. Tennessee was a top team, but with Kentucky beating them, it shows that they are very beatable. Gonzaga is an under-rated team this year, but are able to compete with the best in the country. Michigan and Michigan State are also dangerous teams to face when the tournament comes around. Another team that is overlooked and could cause an upset is North Carolina, and they usually are a force to be reckoned with in the tourney. Virginia is the third best team in the country and could win it all, wit the great defense that they play.

Two teams that have the best chance of winning the tournament are Duke and Kentucky. Duke has seemed to be the most powerful and intelligent team in the entire country. The epic comeback against Louisville shows just how well this team can play defense and scored at will. The team led by Zion Williamson, has a ton of supporting talent with R.J. Barrett and Cam Reddish, making sure defenses know how deadly they really are.

Kentucky is a very young team, but the way they have been playing the last couple of weeks, they have proved that they are a very dangerous team. After beating Tennessee by seventeen points, Kentucky proved that they can play with the best of them. The Kentucky team is led by forward P.J. Washington, and has supporting talent from Keldon Johnson, Tyler Herro and Ashton Hagans. The past few weeks the Wildcats have been coming together to play great basketball. Though Duke beat Kentucky earlier in the year, it would be a much better game this time around..

Anything is possible with all of the upsets that could take place early in the tournament, so it is very hard to tell who exactly is going to win it all. A basketball analyst and former Pacers player Reggie Miller stated, “If Kentucky keeps playing the way that they are, they will win a national championship.” This is a powerful statement, with the many upsets that could happen in the tournament. It is hard to tell how the entire thing will play out, but it will still be an exciting thing to witness.
