Varsity football team’s new head coach

While students are getting back into the routine of school, the football players were already preparing for their first big game on Friday, August 24 against Plainfield North. This season being the first of Joliet West’s new varsity football coach, hired at the end of last school year, named Coach Lech. Lech was a former assistant coach at West and now is back again, but this time he is running the show. Coach Lech brings a new set of goals and responsibilities to the players of West. One goal for the 2018 season is for West to win seven games, so that they can host a playoff game in front of al the fans at West. He also wants to teach the athletes to act like young men and to put the team before themselves. Coach Lech is very proud of Joliet West and is excited to start this season.
