Academy coordinator becomes new Assistant Principal

Nicole Pizur, staff writer

The 2018-2019 school year has just begun bringing along many changes, including our new assistant principal Matt Narducci. Previous to this year, Narducci was a Dean of students here at West for 8 years until 2014 when he became the Arts & Communication Academy Coordinator. Narducci’s main goal for this year is to learn more about his position along with everything that comes with it, including the new relationships that will impact him, “Since I have served the district for 17 years in several different capacities, I feel as though I know the students, staff, parents and community fairly well, but when you are beginning a new position you begin to learn even more about the people.”

Although Narducci has not been in the position long enough to have a great impact on him, he spent the summer learning more about our school’s registration and scheduling process and was able to work with the students, parents, staff and community differently than his last position. “I am extremely excited and humbled to be serving as the Assistant Principal here at West and am looking forwards to doing what I can do to continue to make Joliet West a great place to teach and learn for all of our students and staff.

With his experience and knowledge in the JTHS district he will do great in the office. A big congratulations goes out t0 Mr. Narducci.
