Six Flags Reopens

Jakiya Mcwright, staff writer

On Saturday April 24th, 2021, Six Flags Great America reopens and there will be nothing but entertainment. Rides will be open and summer will feel like summer. With big groups entering the park make sure you keep safety for yourself and those around you in mind. Keep 6 feet apart from those around you only getting close to those you came with. Try to avoid sitting next to, in front of, or in back of someone you don’t know. Don’t bring any food in or out of the park. Try not putting none of your souvenirs down on the ground, and make sure to  keep it in site and in reach of people you trust.

Six Flags may have opened but there are still covid-19 rules being applied for. If you or a love have a critical condition that you should not come, due to a higher risks of catching covid-19. “The CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from Coronavirus.”  Just because someone asymptomatic  doesn’t mean they don’t have Covid. Try getting a test done before and after coming to Great America. If you do decide to come, you are coming at your own risk, it is not  the park’s responsibility that you did not take extra precaution “ People who show no symptoms can spread Coronavirus if they are infected, any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to Coronavirus. By coming to the park, you acknowledge and agree that you assume these inherent risks associated with attendance.”

If you have any questions you may contact the local Six flags through email, sign up on their website, or through mobile app. If you are still up for the task and will still like to have fun, come on down and enjoy yourself! Have a good time! Tickets are on sale before the theme park opens. Hurry and get on your computers and buy your tickets before the price goes back up! If going back more than once for the summer you should try their membership or season pass, you get a lot of more advantages than just buying a one day ticket! If you have a 2020 season pass don’t worry! You can still use your 2020 pass in the 2021 season due to the Covid and not being able to not use that season pass last year!
